A new mom (almost)…married to a resident… living in a trendy, creative city. Known to indulge in the occasional pumpkin spice latte.
For a blogger, I admit: I’m pretty basic.
But I take life with a grain of salt (the fancy, flaky, sea variety) and so does this blog.
I originally started D and Y because I felt like all of the newlywed blogs out there were dripping with adoration for married life, and the “doctor’s wife” blogs reeked of sadness and desperation and they just weren’t interesting to me.
I don’t want to tell you about how my husband is my best friend and married life is so wonderful — I want to show you… by describing how I found six of his boogers stuck to our wall.
I don’t want to tell you how proud I am of his medical career, I want to show you… by bravely wearing his blood-stained white coat.
I’m not going to tell you how much I love my unborn child… but I will show you how I shower him/her with love by purchasing hobo-themed nursery art from a junk sale. I
